We are deeply committed to preserving and valuing the precious bonds that unite animals and their humans, as well as the connections that are created between people through the presence of an animal. A loyal companion, an emotional support, a daily anchor, animals play an essential role in the psycho-emotional balance of individuals.
Yet in France, a pet is still abandoned every two minutes due to a lack of accessible solutions.
This reality creates, for some people, a deep fear: that of losing their companion. An anxiety that can lead them to refuse medical care, avoid temporary placement, or experience emergency hospitalization with added stress.
It is to prevent these separations, protect this vital bond, and offer humane and secure solutions that our association acts every day.
Stories from association life

Pierre
Pierre contacted the association while suffering from severe depression, unemployed, and newly arrived in a village where he knew no one. He wanted to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital for treatment, but had no solution to care for his companions: Taho the Border Collie, Sally the Basset Hound, and Patou the cat.
Unfortunately, Pierre’s health deteriorated before the planned hospitalization date. Thanks to the responsiveness of our volunteers, the dogs were urgently welcomed into foster families, while a local resident was able to care for the cat at Pierre’s home. During his hospitalization, Sally received the dermatological treatment she needed, and Pierre regularly received news, photos, and videos. With the doctor’s approval, an organized walk even allowed him to see his animals again.
One month later, Pierre returned home calmer, with his smile restored, and resumed life with his three companions. Three weeks after that, he proudly announced that he had secured a permanent job in which he is thriving. Grateful, he later offered his help to the association.
Put in touch with a volunteer from his village, they now meet regularly for Sunday walks with their dogs, creating new human connections… thanks to animals.

Droopy
In mid-September 2025, a veterinarian contacted the association: Droopy, a 16-year-old terrier suffering from a tumor, was left alone following the unexpected hospitalization of his owner.
After collecting the keys and signing the agreement at the hospital, the association’s president and a canine behavior specialist went to the home to take care of Droopy and bring him to the veterinary clinic.
Two weeks later, Droopy was finally reunited with his owner, who was still very weakened and unable to walk him. We then called upon a volunteer whose own health requires her to walk regularly.
And then came a surprise: upon arriving, she realized that the beneficiary’s mother used to make her fritters when she was a child.
The two families had known each other for many years. The reunion was deeply moving, and the two women spent hours reminiscing about their shared memories.
To this day, they continue to meet around Droopy, and his owner feels far less alone. A story of solidarity… and of bonds rekindled thanks to a small 16-year-old dog.
